His family is suing Tesla, because the car was in Autopilot when it crashed. The suit alleges Autopilot is “defective in its design.”In a blog published by Tesla shortly afterwards, the company stated Huang “received several visual and one audible hands-on warning earlier in the drive,” to remind him to put his hands back on the wheel.Musk recently said in an interview that Tesla' Autopilot could be safe for people to drive hands-free by the end of this year.INSIDER has contacted Tesla for comment.
